DESIGN

Followers of online sports who are unable to watch live coverage often struggle to feel connected or engaged with the game they are following. This issue is particularly pronounced in tennis, where the rapid pace and dynamic nature of the sport make it difficult to convey the excitement and progression of points through traditional text updates.

MOTION

In the design phase I opted for a clean, dark mode interface to align with the sporty environment of the subject. To create contrast with the dark background and to highlight key elements, I used a green-y yellow or “grello” colour which is reminiscent of a tennis ball.

The top-down view of the the court was chosen to make the ball’s movement easy to track, creating a more engaging experience. Appropriate fonts were also selected to give the interface a sleek, modern feel, which complimented the high-energy nature of the design.
