OVERVIEW

For this project, I crafted an interactive prototype for a platform aimed at redefining the way sports fans experience live sports by integrating next-generation video engagement features. The prototype was used to help the client secure funding and partnerships, including a notable collaboration with the NFL.

MICRO INTERACTIONS

Using a combination of Adobe After Effects and Protopie, I focused on refining the motion for two key micro-interaction elements: the responsive pill and the control hub.

The responsive pill would subtly appear whenever a notification arrived, offering users the option to easily follow or engage with it. The control hub was positioned at the bottom of the screen and provided quick access to essential app features like in-play bets, chat, and live camera controls.

Both components were designed to feel slick, intuitive, and playful with a bouncy motion that made interactions enjoyable. These micro-interactions were key to enhancing the overall usability and fluidity of the app experience.

PROTOTYPE

Further to the detailed work on the micro-interactions, I also created a fully functional prototype of the end-to-end experience using Protopie.

Developed in stages, the prototype captured several key user journeys, from joining live hangouts with other sports fans, to creating predictions and placing bets during live games.

I ensured that the transitions were seamless and subtle so as not to distract the user from the main functionality of the UI.

This interactive prototype was ultimately used by the client in presentations to provide a real, immersive feel for their product, helping secure both funding and strategic partnerships.
